High Heels

Look at how incredibly painfull that looks? Yeesh, i'm glad I'm a man.

That being said - I have a question for the women who frequent this site: Why do you wear high heels? The way I see it there are only three reasons to wear clothing at all. 1) Its comfortable. 2) It attracts the opposite sex (or same sex, whatever floats your boat.) 3) It looks good.

High heels certainly can't fit into the category of being comfortable. I know this because on several occasions when i've gone out with women wearing high heels they invariably take them off and start walking around bars/streets barefoot due to the severe pain the heels have caused. Honest to God, women walk around busy streets of Chicago barefoot. If ones feet are sore and achy, the rest of the body has a hard time being comfortable. A cozy pair of shoes/sandles are really really important, and heels seem like the most uncomfortable foot-wear around.

To the best of my knowledge, a woman wearing high heels as never directly resulted in a man being attacted to said woman. In fact, the type of shoes the woman is wearing is likely not in the top ten of any mans checklist when we check you girls out. The only time I notice women's shoes is when they complain about how uncomfortable they are. Trust me ladies - the type of shoes you wear will have nothing to do with what kind of men start talking to you. You could get all dolled up in every other way and then where some non-high heel type shoe and get the same head turns and glances from guys wherever you go. You don't need the high heels.

This only leaves the notion that women feel they look good in them. Which, I don't know, I guess so. They make you look taller certainly but is that really a good thing? To men a woman's height really doesn't matter; and if anything guys like shorter girls (contrary to my taller, older woman love affair.) Maybe they make your legs look longer? I don't know. But for the most part they also make women walk around gingerly and slightly awkward. And rather have a girl with a little bit shorter legs with a confident strut than one with a little bit longer legs that gimps around all goofy.

But maybe that's just me.

VERDICT:

OVERRATED

  1. High heels are not uncomfortable if you break them in first... besides, Cole Haan makes heels with Nike technology now, so there is zero excuse to complain! And, a lot of women wear high heels because it makes them feel beautiful and sexy... which equates into confidence... and I'm pretty sure men find THAT attractive.... :)

  4. ....Damnit I have been shamed by Nicole and Taylor.

Your right, confidence is a turn-on Taylor.

And your right, woman probably do have a whole scheme of little things they do to make guys like them that we don't even realize. I knew it all along but couldn't prove it.
